ART 247 F Sketching For Animators and Illustrators - Traditional Media (CRN 14629)
Mondays + Wednesdays, 3:15pm - 6:25pm. This course introduces student to the professional application practices of using traditional media techniques for developing artwork for the fields of entertainment. Areas of focus include rapid visualization to final art production using watercolor, markers, pen, ink, and color pencil. (Degree Credit) (CSU)
DART 100 F Introduction to Digital Arts (CRN 12323)
Mondays + Wednesdays, 7:00pm - 9:35pm. This course teaches the fundamentals of digital media to input, create, manipulate and output a variety of images. Students learn basic skills and use a varied selection of visual arts software, while gaining insights into the basic principles of digital computers and digital graphics. Extensive hands-on use of computers and other hardware allows students to build a portfolio and acquire the experience levels necessary to advance in this field. (CSU) (Degree Credit)
DART 101 F Photoshop for Digital Arts (CRN 12236)
Mondays + Wednesdays, 10:45am - 1:20pm. This course teaches the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop to input, create, manipulate and output a variety of images. Students learn basic design skills and usage of the Adobe Photoshop, while gaining insights into the basic principles of digital manipulation and graphics. Extensive hands-on use of computers and other hardware allow students to build a portfolio and acquire the experience levels necessary to advance in this field. (CSU) (Degree Credit)
DART 104 F Intro to Maya 3D (CRN 12929)
Saturdays, 9:00am - 2:25pm (Zoom). This course will introduce the Autodesk Maya 3D computer software, focusing upon polygonal modeling techniques. Students will combine modeling techniques with critical thinking assignments to design models for the entertainment industry. Students will also focus on learning design fundamentals by creating thumbnails, and silhouette sketching to aid in their design solutions. (CSU) (Degree Credit)
DART 107 F Digital Drawing (CRN 12278)
Saturdays, 9:00am - 2:25pm. This course covers the use of digital-based software applications combined with digital drawing tablets and touch sensitive digital monitors. This course also prepares the student to meet industry standards and requirements for working digitally inside entertainment art production companies. (CSU) (Degree Credit)

This second section of DART 107 F also covers the use of digital-based software applications combined with digital drawing tablets and touch sensitive digital monitors. DART 123 F Intro to 3D Texturing (CRN 13486)
Tuesdays + Thursdays, 7:00pm - 9:35pm. This course is an introduction course to 3D texturing using Adobe Photoshop and Substance 3D Painter as the texturing software for 3D models created with Autodesk's Maya, Blender, etc. Students will learn key terminology, conduct research, and digitally paint textures - color, displacement, specularity, etc, on 3D models used for animation. Mondays + Wednesdays, 8:00am - 10:35am. This in-person course introduces students to Adobe Photoshop, the most widely used application for digital painting in the entertainment industry. The course focuses on digital painting techniques within Photoshop and how these techniques can be applied to creating digital artwork. (CSU) (Digital Credit)

Tuesdays + Thursdays, 4:15pm - 6:50pm. This second section of DART 135 F introduces students to Adobe Photoshop, the most widely used application for digital painting in the entertainment industry. DART 137 F Advanced Digital Painting (CRN 14633)
Mondays + Wednesdays, 10:45am - 1:20pm. This course is based upon increasing mastery of digital painting technique using adobe Photoshop to create vehicle design, character creation, and environmental design. Class assignments are geared around daily job requirements within the entertainment industry for gaming and animation. (CSU) (Degree Credit)
DART 148 F Introduction to Narrative Illustration (CRN 14560)
Mondays + Wednesdays, 4:15pm to 6:50pm. This course is designed to introduce the student to narrative illustration concepts incorporating traditional draftsmanship skill sets, combined with entertainment design skill sets, and digital software to produce narrative story illustrations for entertainment, animation, and storytelling careers. DART 182 F Motion Graphics and Special Effects (CRN 14567)
Mondays + Wednesdays, 4:15pm - 6:50pm. This course is an introduction to motion graphics, digital composition, sound design and special effects for multimedia, 2D, 3D space digital video, installations and mobile devices. (CSU) (Degree Credit)
